Hello everyone, Im posting this as a "KNOW YOUR MUSHROOMS BEFORE EATING"...If your a novice, DO NOT hunt mushrooms without the help of someone with experiance in the hunt and recognition of the mushroom you are searching for, Or you may pay the ultimate price...Your Own Life !!!

Plesae, Please, Please, if U dont know, then dont eat it, it makes me sick to see something like this, when a few seconds of reading could have prevented this from happening.


Mushroom victims die January 04, 2012 09.35am

TWO people have died in a Sydney hospital after eating death cap mushrooms.

A third person is still being treated at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
Four people became ill after eating the poisonous mushrooms at a New Year's Eve party in Canberra but one was discharged from hospital yesterday.

"I can confirm that two of those patients have passed away," the spokeswoman said.
A 52-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were among those being treated at RPA.

It is believed the four people had may have mistaken the poisonous mushrooms for mushrooms used in Chinese cooking.
The mushrooms are usually found in Canberra in autumn, near oak trees, but recent summer rain has spurred the growth of the mushrooms.

Fully-grown versions have silky smooth caps, and can be white to greenish-brown.

Lethal ... Death-cap mushrooms are highly toxic.

It sure does my friend...this is not ment to deture folks from mushrooms...but as a warning more so...most would never eat something they had never eaten before, unless your friend or family had tried it before us, and gave it a positive review

This is sad, and I just don't understand how people not knowing what kind of mushroom they are handling/about to eat just ffeel like it is a good idea to eat it.

Morel season here is about to kick in full swing and I know damn sure if IDK what it is, then I am not even going to pick it. People need to be more educated about mushrooms, and also need some more common sense.

This story really is terrible. The guy actually picked the mushrooms in a park thats full of warning signs about deathcaps!

Well they put warnings all over cigs too and ppl still eat them, but they put a rubber shark in the water and people stay out of the water...dont make much sense, although Im one of thoes people too, I sstill smoke, knowing the danger...ggrrr
